Many of our products include basic personalization at no extra cost. However, some custom orders require additional design time beyond simple text changes. This page explains when a design fee applies, how it works, and when it is collected, so there are no surprises.

What Is a Design Fee?

A design fee covers the time, skill, and tools required to create or modify artwork specifically for your order. This includes layout, sizing, proofing, revisions, and preparation for print or production.

Design fees are separate from the cost of the physical or digital product, are required in advance, and are non-refundable once design work has begun.

Design work does not begin until the applicable design fee has been paid.

The following are included with most custom items unless otherwise noted:

• Typing a name, date, or short phrase
• Font changes using existing designs
• Color changes to existing elements
• Simple layout adjustments
• One proof with minor tweaks

If your request falls into this category, no design fee is required.

🎨 When a Design Fee Applies

A design fee may apply if your order includes:

• Custom artwork or graphics
• Photo editing or enhancement
• Logo recreation or cleanup
• Design created from scratch
• Multiple revisions
• Combining multiple elements or ideas
• Resizing or reworking artwork for special materials
• Complex layouts or specialty products

If a design fee is needed, it will be confirmed and collected before production or design work begins.

💵 Design Fee Tiers

✏️ Basic Design – $5

Best for light customization
Includes:
• Simple layout changes
• Minor text styling
• Small design tweaks
• Up to 10 minutes of design time

🎨 Standard Design – $10

Most common for custom orders
Includes:
• Moderate customization
• Text and layout reworking
• Simple graphics added
• One round of revisions
• Up to 30 minutes of design time

🖌️ Advanced Design – $20+

For complex or time-intensive work
Includes:
• Custom artwork or layouts
• Photo editing or cleanup
• Multiple elements combined
• Specialty sizing or materials
• Multiple revisions

Final pricing will be confirmed and approved before work begins if additional time is needed.

⏱️ Additional Design Time

Design fees cover a defined amount of design time based on the selected tier. Requests that exceed the included time or revision limits may require an additional design fee.

If additional time is needed, you will be notified and pricing will be discussed and approved before work continues. No additional charges will be applied without your confirmation.
